Aachen, January 2025 – FEV has restructured its service portfolio for companies in the energy industry on their way to a sustainable future. With its FEV energy + resources brand, the engineering services provider is pursuing a holistic approach and combines its extensive technological know-how with expertise in strategic management consulting. In this way, FEV supports the development and dissemination of new technologies as well as the planning and implementation of individual sustainability strategies. Thus, customers are empowered to make their business future-proof and ecologically sustainable and to actively drive forward the energy transition.

“The new name FEV energy + resources replaces the previous brand FEV energy, which already stood for innovative and sustainable energy solutions. When it comes to the transfer of know-how from mobility to stationary applications by FEV energy + resources, the development of batteries and electric machines plays a crucial role. However, the area of sustainable fuels, such as hydrogen and its derivation via electrolyzer, is also a focal point. Successful projects show how the company is supporting the transformation to a sustainable economy and driving forward green technologies. These include a plant for methanol production using wind and solar power in North Africa, the production of synthetic fuels in the EU project DeCarTrans which is coordinated by FEV, and the development of a mobile charging system for electric vehicles.

FEV energy + resources has access to a variety of innovative tools for its global projects. One of them is “CycleBat”, a tool developed by FEV Consulting for forecasting the costs of batteries along the entire value chain. The FEV Group’s management consultancy was recently recognized for this with the Sustainability Award from the Automobiltechnische und Motortechnische Zeitschrift (ATZ/MTZ) published by the prestigious Springer Nature publishing house and the management consultancy Arthur D. Little.
